Business of Art : The Thank You & Happy New Year Note

In 2016, I finally committed to making art and putting it out into the world. And, like it often does, the universe rewarded my risk-taking.

owever, I am most definitely aware of the people that helped along the way which is why, even though I am generally the WORST when it comes to the writing of notes, retrieval of addresses, purchasing of stamps, and actually putting the dang things in the mail, I made it a priority to send out combination "Thank You and Happy New Year" cards.

These weren't fancy- They were prints of the first painting that I made this year that I was really proud of.

When I thought about people that had helped me I included people that hosted my art, collectors, friends who show up to my events, and the wonderful women that provide child care for my Sam. It's without this big [huge] group of people that I would not have been able to make this first year of pursuing my art happen.

I hope that this small thing lets people how much they've meant to me this year.

And if you're reading this you're a supporter too. So big hugs and happy new year to you as well.
